We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our dynamic team at SHF Services (M) Sdn Bhd in our Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur location. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
Oversee and coordinate all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
Manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional food quality
Develop and implement innovative recipes and menu items that align with the company's culinary vision and customer preferences
Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, as well as cost control and inventory management
Collaborate with the management team to analyse customer feedback, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance the dining experience
Participate in marketing and promotional activities, such as special events and menu launches
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, food trends, and food science
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a kitchen team
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction
Proficient in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
