Looking for a talented and skilled chef to run our hotel kitchen and able to give our guests a true taste of what is uniquely Kelantanese style cooking and culture.The appropriate candidate will have experience in ordering from suppliers and menu planning.If you are looking for a place to demonstrate your culinary expertise where you will have complete control of the Kitchen and what you serve, Salaam Suites is looking for you too.Roles & Responsibilities:Food Service & PreparationDeveloping unique and cuisine-appropriate menusCollaborating with the GM and Directors to set item pricesStaying current on developing trends in the restaurant industryMaintaining the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations such as HACCP etc.Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness at all timesMonitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from approved vendorsSourcing and securing purchasing deals with vendorsTraining and supervising kitchen staffEnsuring standards in meal preparation, creation, plating and deliveryEnsuring Halal standards for food service and preparationIdentifying and introducing new culinary techniquesPreparing meals and completing prep support as neededRecording of stock of food menu products and organized FIFO labelling and storageTaking care of DIY food station and making sure it is clean, stocked and ready for use by guests
