Role Summary:To oversee the entire running of the dialysis centre.
Accountabilities:To ensure that adequate standards of nursing care are provided to all patients in the Dialysis Centre.
To supervise Staff Nurses/Cleaner/Admin Assistant/Driver in the execution of their duties.
To ensure all staff are competent and skillful while attending to nursing procedures.
To maintain proper records in the centre including Patient Case Files, Scheduling, Equipment Log Book, Water System Log Book, and Stock Inventory.
To inform the Clinical department/Operation department of any interruption in the smooth running of the centre including breakdown of medical equipment, interruption of utility supply, low stock levels, major incidents, and complaints.
To inform the doctor/Nephrologist of any deterioration in the patients' clinical status including hospital admission and death.
To ensure that the Dialysis Centre is run in an efficient manner and cleanliness is maintained at all times.
To ensure that the emergency trolley and its equipment are in good working order and drugs are replaced when expired.
To conduct staff meetings at least once a month and ensure minutes of the meeting are recorded and sent to the Operation Department.
To supervise all suppliers/contractors who are in the centre attending to relevant jobs approved by the management.
To perform other duties as directed by the doctor or any senior personnel appointed by the management and willing to be deployed or relocated.
To be responsible and to take cognizance of the use of all machines in the centre including repossesses, dialysis machines, RO, etc.
Supervise the maintenance and servicing of technical equipment at the clinic.
Act as Continuous Quality Improvement Link Nurse: to undertake continuous constructive actions in improving patient care and clinic activities. To assist the clinic in documenting that continuous quality improvement efforts are effective within the clinic, across the organization, and aggregates data to demonstrate that they meet the requirement of external regulatory agencies, national and professional standards.
To make sure all processes and requirements are fulfilled towards achieving clinic performance targets.
To ensure updates into RQMT of any incident that occurs in the clinic.
To review Incident Reports & Patients Feedback within the timeline.
To ensure Hospitalization & Mortality Rates are updated in Euclid appropriately.
To assist the staff nurses to achieve the desired clinical KPI.
Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Nursing with Post-Basic in Renal Nursing.
More than 5 years experience in dialysis nursing with good management, administration, and planning skills.
Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Have a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills.
Negotiation and Conflict Resolution skills.
