We are looking for an individual who has great passion and expertise in the food business.
This role is responsible for the preparation and planning of food production, generating new product ideas and recipes, and forecasting the quantity, time, and processes for food production.
The ideal candidate will possess strong planning and organization skills and work well in a team.
A background in the F&B, Restaurant, Catering, or Manufacturing industry is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Generating new product ideas and recipes
Modifying and improving existing recipes
Planning and scheduling the number of cycles of food production
Identifying and choosing products from suppliers
Involved in food strategy and forecasting
Preparing all ingredients for the daily menu
Managing stock control and rotation
Ensuring quality standards
Responsible for all food preparation according to standard recipes and production schedules
Assisting with the preparation of all food, considering specific needs and special diet requirements
Menu planning, orders, and rota organization
Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in food preparation and service areas
Teamwork and training employees
The job includes:
Preparing, estimating, cooking, and presenting projections for large amounts of food production for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following agreed recipes and standards
Following food hygiene regulations
Complying with all health and safety regulations
Working in a clean, tidy, and efficient manner
Ensuring all food is prepared according to the agreed schedule
Recording all food wastage and reports
Monitoring special dietary requirements
Monitoring dates on food and disposing of any outdated food
Requirements:
Exceptional proven ability in kitchen management
Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
Credentials in health and safety training
Professional experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Formal culinary training (strongly preferred but may be substituted for experience)
Valid food handler's permit
Excellent self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Qualified Chef preferred
Experience within a similar environment working in F&B, catering, restaurant, hotel chains, or manufacturing background
Able to effectively manage resources
Able to plan effectively
Assisting in menu and recipe planning
Can work independently and with a large team
