ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES To assist the Head of Academic Affairs in the academic operations and students for programmes under the department. Lecturer:Curriculum development, Teaching, Assessment & Evaluation and Course Management.
Programme Leader: Responsible for 3D Animation Diploma Programme.
Academic Operations:
Oversee the operations of the program, ensuring the effective management of teaching and learning processes, assessments, evaluations, and continuous program improvements. This includes but not limited to the following:
Academic Staff Plan, School Examination Boards, Appeals, Students' Portfolio Review, Student Programme Review, Students' Graduation Showcase, and Orientation Briefing. Academic Management: Developing and enforcing rules and guidelines concerning academic conduct, such as grading policies, attendance, academic integrity, and student behaviour.
Ensuring that academic programs are well-structured and meet educational standards.
Academic Development & Compliance: To contribute to the new curriculum, review of curriculum or revamp of current curriculum to programmes related to the department. Ensuring processes and documents are compliant to related internal processes and MQA/KPT regulations/policies/guidelines.
Academic and Industry Liaison: To bridge academia to industry in the various activities such as Sharing sessions, workshops, Live Projects, Studio Visits and other areas that will enhance the students' profile and exposure to the industry.
Other commitments:
Support to marketing events and activities such as Trial Class, Education Fairs and other student recruitment programmes. Ad hoc responsibilities that relate to academic activities or promotion of the programmes in the Academic Affairs Group. QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in 3D Animation or a relevant field and FIVE (5) years of academic with industry experience / industry engagement in the relevant fieldsPossess a combination of at least 3 skillsets in the area/s of: 3D Modeling, 3D Animation, Rigging, Lighting & Rendering, Compositing, Visual Effects/ Simulation, Editing, Sound Editing & Effects, Concept Art, Storyboarding, or other related disciplines.Competent in Autodesk Maya, Adobe Creative Suite, Substance Painter or other relevant 3D Software packages. PREFERRED SKILLS Leadership: Provide strategic solutions and direction to challenges that arise from the programme/s operations and management. Budget Planning: Managing operational cost for teaching and learning activities in the department.Curriculum Development: Develop curriculum design for new programmes related to the department.Sound knowledge in MQA documentations for a programme. Familiar with academic policies, entry requirements, credit exemptions, exam process among others.Programme Auditing: Eye for details in relation to the processes and procedures. MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCES
Minimum 5 years of experience in academic leadership or similar capacity.
