Lead the design and execution of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) substation and plant projects, providing expert guidance in primary and secondary electrical design and contributing to transmission, distribution, and power quality projects.
Develop and maintain engineering standards, continuously implementing technical and functional improvements to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
Oversee the conceptual design of HV and MV electrical works, particularly at interconnection points, including creating bills of materials, equipment specifications, and detailed electrical drawings.
Prepare comprehensive tender documentation, including contractor scopes of work, technical specifications, and tender plans, and conduct thorough tender evaluations.
Perform essential electrical design calculations, such as short circuit analysis, load flow, cable sizing, lighting, and grounding calculations, to ensure project design accuracy and maintenance feasibility.
Conduct and review detailed electrical study reports, including Power System Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, Grid Impact Studies, Insulation Coordination, and Protection Coordination Studies, ensuring thorough project evaluation and safety compliance.
Lead efforts in identifying and implementing continuous improvements in design methodologies and functional practices, fostering innovation and team growth within the department.

Minimum 8 to 10 years related work experience in design, construction, and commissioning related to HV and MV electrical engineering.
Large Scale Solar PV System and Wind Generator installation/construction experience will be beneficial.
Proficient knowledge of T&D equipment, such as switchgear, circuit breakers, disconnectors, cables, power transformers, etc.
Technical knowledge and understanding of international Engineering Design and Construction standards for High Voltage, Medium Voltage, and Low Voltage Electrical systems from Preliminary Design, Construction to Commissioning and Maintenance.
Qualifications:Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Master in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems, from a recognized university or equivalent.
Registered with the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).
Registered with the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), not mandatory.
Professional Engineer (Ir.)
