Description
Financial Operations Management:
Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and closing activities. Financial Reporting and Consolidation:
Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Coordinate with various business units to gather financial data and ensure accurate and timely consolidation. Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making. Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements and other relevant regulations. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to set financial targets and monitor performance. Prepare regular forecasts to anticipate financial outcomes and support strategic planning. Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and recommendations. Strategic Financial Planning:
Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and business plans. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency. Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Ensure the finance team is equipped with the necessary tools and skills to perform their duties effectively. Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's financial health and stability. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process. Profile
Degree in Finance & Accounting, or a related field; or MIA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a focus on operations and consolidation within a PLC will be advantage Strong knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and experience with financial reporting and consolidation. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and preferably advanced Excel skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Job Offer
