About the RoleThe Head of ICT plays a pivotal role in aligning IT strategies with business objectives, leveraging technology to enhance operations, and ensuring the secure operation of information systems and infrastructure.
Strategic Leadership:Provide direction and guidance on managing technology to support business goals.
Digital Transformation:Drive initiatives by aligning IT strategies with business goals, implementing new technologies, and enhancing customer experiences.
IT Systems Management:Oversee planning, implementation, and management of IT systems and infrastructure.
Collaboration:Support and collaborate with other business units on business development and operational activities.
Innovation:Foster a culture of innovation, explore emerging technologies, and identify opportunities for technology-driven growth and efficiency.
Policies and Compliance:Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, data security, and privacy.
Vendor Management:Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to secure appropriate technologies and services.
Project Management:Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring successful delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Data Analysis:Enhance data collection and analysis capabilities, leveraging insights for informed decision-making and business improvements.
Talent Development:Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development among IT staff.
Risk Management:Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, ensuring data protection, compliance, and disaster recovery planning.
Financial Management:Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
Communication:Communicate and report IT strategies, initiatives, and progress to stakeholders, highlighting benefits, issues, and risks.
RequirementsA degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Broad understanding of System and Architecture, Enterprise Applications, Data Analytics, Software Development Lifecycle, Project Management, Cybersecurity, Emerging Technologies, IT Service Management, Data Privacy and Compliance, Cloud Computing, Technical Vendor Management.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT roles, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership position.
Proven experience in the retail sector, particularly e-commerce or digital transformation.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
We offer a competitive salary between RM180,000 - RM250,000 per annum, depending on experience.
