To have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and International Primary Curriculum, curriculum development and current educational thinking in all phases of the school.
To have sound knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum.
To possess excellent knowledge and experience of assessment and tracking to inform student progress, including the use of standardised tests to impact on learning.
To lead and support the school's appraisal system.
To have a good understanding of data management systems.
To be able to manage a budget effectively.
To be an excellent practitioner.
To contribute to the wider school community to raise the school's profile.
Manage middle leaders in developing a professional culture amongst all staff at the school.
Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceQualified teacher status.
Possess relevant bachelor's degree. National professional qualification for headship (NPQH) or postgraduate qualification in education/leadership and management is desirable.
Minimum three (3) years of successful leadership and management experience in a school.
Successful teaching experience as indicated in relevant references.
Involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning.
Demonstrable experience of successful line management and staff development.
Data analysis skills, and the ability to use data to set targets and identify weaknesses.
Understanding of high-quality teaching based on evidence, and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve.
Understanding of school finances and financial management.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate a vision and inspire others.
Ability to build effective working relationships.
Computer literate with good interpersonal communication skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
