We are looking for the Head of Music to help us guide the school and work with our colleagues to take us to the next level.

The Role
We are looking for someone who:
Puts children at the heart of everything they do and cares about their well being.
Enjoys being a team player willing to work with, learn from and help develop others.
Is an inspiring Music Teacher with a proven track record in making students better.
Has a genuine interest in leadership, getting better at leading and supporting others to improve.
Is an outstanding teaching practitioner with a teaching qualification (minimum PGCE or equivalent).
Has experience or ability of teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels – Key stage 5 is beneficial but not essential.
Has experience of planning and leading school musical events and productions working with others to raise the profile of Performing Arts in general.
Is someone who recognises and rewards excellent learning.
Is a strong communicator, who is personable, caring and passionate with high expectations of themselves and others.
Is committed to their own continued professional development and excited about professional learning conversations with like minded colleagues.
Is committed to safeguarding and sees the pastoral responsibilities of a teacher as central to everyone's role.

The Package
This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end.
