Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur campus is a large 3-18 school located on a green 20-acre site with excellent facilities and offers a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating place to work. We are looking for the Head of Music to help us guide the school and work with our colleagues to take us to the next level. If you want to be part of our team you will need to be passionate about learning and knowledgeable about the factors that affect learning. You will be good at working with and inspiring your colleagues, our students and their parents.

The Role
We are looking for someone who:
Puts children at the heart of everything they do and cares about their well-being.
Enjoys being a team player willing to work with, learn from and help develop others.
Is an inspiring Music Teacher with a proven track record in making students better.
Has a genuine interest in leadership, getting better at leading and supporting others to improve.
Is an outstanding teaching practitioner with a teaching qualification (minimum PGCE or equivalent).
Has experience or ability of teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels – Key stage 5 is beneficial but not essential.
Has experience of planning and leading school musical events and productions working with others to raise the profile of Performing Arts in general.
Is someone who recognises and rewards excellent learning.
Is a strong communicator, who is personable, caring and passionate with high expectations of themselves and others.
Is committed to their own continued professional development and excited about professional learning conversations with like-minded colleagues.
Is committed to safeguarding and sees the pastoral responsibilities of a teacher as central to everyone's role.

The Package
This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end. Benefits include:
$50,000 - $60,000 annual salary based on qualifications and experience.

Flight at the beginning and end of the contract and annually on the subsequent contracts
