To implement safety and health standard in the work place in line with good practices.- To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any loss time incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning and diseases or other hazards, which have occurred at the work place.- To monitor and check the effectiveness and efficiency of the safety and health measures in the work place, including corrective action plans required.- To ensure the safety and health standards and practices comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.- Support the development of OHS policies and programs.- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise, vibration, water & air pollution)- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.- Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)- Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker's compensation claims.- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.- To conduct briefing Pre-Task Talk (PTT) every morning before start work- To do induction briefing registration regarding safety during in workplace.**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSchedule:- Fixed shift**Education**:- Diploma/Advanced Diploma (preferred)**Experience**:- Safety Officer: 3 years (preferred)**Language**:- English (preferred)- Bahasa Melayu (preferred)- Chinese (preferred)
