Responsibilities:
Conduct regular risk assessments across all areas of the operation to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
Follow the safety and security protocols to prevent accidents, incidents, and security breaches.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOSH, DOE Act, and BOMBA Act regulations and guidelines.
Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
Assist in monitoring emergency response plans, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.
Conduct drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.
Work with HOD on a system for reporting incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
Oversee subordinates and employees in the HSE team.
Serve as secretary to the safety and health committee.
Monitor safety in organizing and implementing safety and health programs at the workplace.
Maintain accurate records of all HSE-related activities.
Participate in regular audits and inspections of facilities and operations to identify areas of improvement.
Requirements:
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
At least 3 years of working experience in a relevant role or industrial manufacturing.
Certificate in occupational health and safety (Valid Green Book Holder) preferred.
Well versed in OSHA act & regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
Experience in writing reports and providing statistical information to upper management.#J-18808-Ljbffr
