Health, Safety & Environment Officer (HSE) - (Kedah) Project : LSS Solar (C&S, Mechanical & Electrical) Job Description:
Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health, safety, and environmental matters, including training, awareness programs, and emergency response procedures. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that health, safety, and environmental considerations are integrated into planning, design, and operational activities. Monitor and analyze health, safety, and environmental performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for proactive intervention. Interface with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders to stay abreast of emerging issues, regulations, and best practices. Participate in internal and external audits and assessments to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Serve as a subject matter expert on health, safety, and environmental matters, providing advice and guidance to senior management, project teams, and other stakeholders. Champion a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
