Role Overview:
The Assistant IT Manager will manage and maintain the organization's IT systems, ensuring everything works smoothly and securely for both clinical and administrative functions. This role requires both IT skills and understanding of healthcare operations, ensuring systems meet industry standards and support patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
IT System Management:
Manage and maintain IT systems, including networks, servers, and healthcare applications.
Ensure systems are reliable and meet the needs of clinical and administrative staff.
Ensure proper integration and performance of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Patient Management Systems (PMS), and other healthcare software.
Work with healthcare teams to ensure smooth data flow between systems.
Cybersecurity and Compliance:
Implement cybersecurity measures to protect patient data.
Ensure IT systems comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
Work with the IT team in Singapore HQ to resolve technical issues and provide support.
Foster a collaborative environment to ensure high-quality service.
Work with IT service providers and healthcare technology vendors to ensure systems run efficiently and cost-effectively.
Negotiate contracts to get the best value.
Project Management:
Plan and manage IT projects that align with the organization's needs and goals.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree or certifications in healthcare IT is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years in IT management.
At least 2 years in a healthcare or medical setting.
Experience with healthcare-specific software (e.g., EMR, HIS).
Strong knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, and database management.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
