Job holder is the coordinator for U.S. Embassy housing. In this role, job holder manages the logistics of housing assignments, advises the Interagency Housing Board (IAHB), liaises with OBO on housing matters and waivers, researches and identifies new properties for inclusion in housing pool, and manages day-to-day operations of the GSO Housing Unit.
QUALIFICATIONS & EVALUATIONS:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in business management or administration, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, or Management is required.
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in a customer service-oriented atmosphere that includes managing logistics in real estate, facility or property management, marketing, or sales.
Language:Level 4 (Fluent) in English and Bahasa Malaysia - writing/speaking/reading is required (This may be tested).
Skills and Abilities:
Good oral and written communications skills that include customer service experience are required to develop and sustain good working relationships with colleagues, customers, landlords or their agents, and outside vendors for purposes of maintaining an effective housing program. Strong organizational skills are required to operate independently with limited direct supervision of day-to-day activities and to ensure a results-oriented make-ready program. Tact and discretion in dealing with residents on housing issues and persuasiveness in dealing with landlords on lease negotiations and maintenance requests is required. The ability to interpret and apply applicable regulations and guidance is required. Good overall computer skills and basic MS Office is required, as well as the ability to maintain and analyze complex data in proprietary systems.
