Who We Are Durioo+ is a dynamic tech start-up company located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. It was founded by the visionary Sinan Ismail, the creative mind behind the phenomenally successful preschool cartoons Omar & Hana and Didi & Friends. Both cartoons have amassed more than 18 million subscribers and an incredible 8 billion views on YouTube. As a proud member of Y-Combinator (W22), Durioo+ serves as a safe streaming platform for animations and videos designed specifically for Muslim children.

Durioo+ operates on a subscription-based model. We produce, co-produce, and license entertaining, ethical, and meaningful content tailored for Muslim children. Launched in February 2022, we already boast more than 36,000 paid subscribers and host over 9,000 pieces of content on our platform and numbers are growing every month. All our content is meticulously curated to align with Islamic teachings and values.
Our Mission Our goal is to build an ummah with Eeman, Akhlaq & Ilm by instilling  good values, virtues, and Islamic teachings in children.
Our Future Plan Since launching the platform in February 2022, our focus has been on creating and licensing content while building a robust streaming platform. Durioo+ plans to expand with Durioo Games and Durioo Books in by 2025.

Why Durioo needs this person 

We are looking for an independent, detail oriented and a process driven person who is excited about owning the People function. This person will be responsible for owning the entire HR function including hiring, onboarding, team development, administration, employee relations, policy and procedure development, HR compliance, compensation, and benefits.

Durioo is a very entrepreneurial, energetic and collaborative environment and as such we are looking for a highly driven HR generalist with strong communication and interpersonal skills who is enthusiastic about bringing the best out of people.
Job Responsibilities:  Recruit Talent Own and manage applicant tracking system using metrics to improve the process, increase the quality of hire, and evaluate recruiting practicesDesign and implement internal processes, ensuring consistent candidate experience, job descriptions, interview techniques, and evaluate/develop the tools/vendors for the teamManage full recruitment cycle from sourcing, screening, scheduling, and contract negotiationCreate and implement strategies, recruitment plans, and processes that support our initiatives to attract candidates from diverse backgroundsBuild and manage processes that mitigate bias in hiring and promote diversity and inclusionPartner with Head of Department for clarity on job specifications, ensuring positive candidate experiencePerformance Management Champions the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall visionTrain appraisers on how to deliver effective appraisals and use associated toolsSupport departments with tools and measures to ensure work standards are understood, met and addressed effectively.Develop a strategy for formal career pathing, succession planning, and high potential programming  Learning and Development  Partner with executives and managers to develop a culture of learning and continuous feedback by creating programs, tools, and experiences that engage our team at all levels and inspire a positive and accountable culture.Identifies internal trainers and mentorsProvides tools and guidance to others to support the evaluation and delivery of learningHR Administration & Payroll Contracts, offer letters, references, maintaining the HR Database and collating all change information into the payroll spreadsheet.Run the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and completion of a deadline.Culture & Employee Relations Design and manage our employee engagement and culture amplifying initiatives that focus on helping our employees better understand to company mission & goalsHandle team feedbacks and collaborate with managers to resolve issues and assist to prepare corrective action. Requirements: 5 years' minimum experience in a generalist role/s good all round experience in employee lifecycle and performanceExperience creating innovative and scalable people and culture programsStrong analytical skills, the ability to analyze data and create meaningful conclusions which will inform business decisionsIntellectual curiosity, a strong growth-mindset, and the desire to constantly improve.You're a problem-solver by natureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsYou have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Team leadership experience working in a dynamic fast-paced support environmentCreative, results-driven, self-starter with strong business acumen who thrives in a start-up environment and working in "the grey"A sense of humor is a must
