Job OverviewThe HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting daily human resource management and is trained to become a strategic partner in HR development, contributing to the company's growth and success. This role involves supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training, while also leading the creation, curation, and distribution of the company newsletter.
Working closely with management, department heads, store managers, and employees, this role fosters a productive, compliant, and harmonious work environment that aligns with the company's business objectives and goals.
Job Responsibilitiesa. Human Resource Management
Recruitment & Selection :Manage full-cycle recruitment for office-based employees
Manpower planning, job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling
Conduct interviews, reference checks, and issue employment offers.Payroll Management :Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Malaysian laws.Administer employee benefits and coordinate with external vendors.
Learning & Development :Assist in developing and implementing training programs for employee skill enhancement.Employee Onboarding and Offboarding :Manage onboarding for new hires and conduct exit interviews to gather feedback.Disciplinary Action :Handle disciplinary procedures, ensuring fair processes and documentation.b. Human Resource Development
Employee Relations :Address conflict resolution and employee engagement issues.Strategic Alignment :Collaborate on HR initiatives aligned with corporate strategy.Talent Management :Develop strategies for recruitment and employee development to attract and retain talent.Company Newsletter :Oversee the production of the company newsletter to highlight achievements and key events.c. Additional Duties
Support the operations team with any other tasks or projects as needed, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Adhere to Malaysia laws and regulations, company manual, policies, procedures and memo related to employment, safety, and environmental compliance.
Perform any other duties as determined by the Management, which is considered beneficial to the Company and within your capabilities.
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, preferably in the retail sector.
Solid understanding of HR practices and Malaysian labor laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia is essential for effective communication within our multinational team.
