Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed, and orientations are conducted.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR related matters.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and addressing employee grievances promptly.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure effectiveness and relevance to organisational goals.
Performance Management:
- Assist in monitoring employee performance management systems.
- Support managers in handling performance-related issues and implementing improvement plans.
Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure company policies and procedures comply with Malaysian labour laws and regulations.
- Update and maintain the employee handbook and HR policies as needed.
Employee Records and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure all employee documentation is filed and stored securely and confidentially.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist in administrating employee benefits programs, including leave management, etc.
- Communicate benefit options and updates to employees and address any queries or concerns.
HR Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare HR reports and metrics, such as employee and outlet performance, turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and recruitment effectiveness.
- Analyse data to identify trends and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Employee Engagement:
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee surveys.
- Implement strategies to improve employee morale and retention.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure the organisation's compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment through regular training and awareness programs.
Support for Organisational Change:
- Assist in managing organisational changes, such as restructuring or mergers, by supporting affected employees and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Facilitate communication between management and employees during times of change.
Others:
- Participate in or lead special HR projects and initiatives as the organisation requires.
- To carry out any other duties as directed by the superior.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a service industry.
Solid understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. Familiarity with local labour laws and regulations.
Proficiency in HR software & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with employees and management.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong analytical skills to interpret HR metrics and data. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Proactive, with a willingness to take initiative and drive HR projects.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary:Negotiable depending on experience.
