The HR Solutions Center Specialist is located inMalaysia - Penang . The HR Solutions Center Specialist will develop a working knowledge of UCT HR transactions, HR policies, employee inquiries, HR compliance, the HR System (UKG Pro / UltiPro), and will provide general support to the HR Centers of Excellence and business across UCT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide general and transactional support for Human Resources and the business by applying basic knowledge of HR concepts and procedures via multiple contact formats.
Serve as the first point of contact to answer incoming inquiries from employees related to various HR topics, programs, HR system, etc.
Provide exemplary customer service to both the business and HR functions.
Escalate employee inquiries where applicable based on the established support matrix.
Manage and monitor employee case management system to ensure all inquiries are handled per the established service level agreement.
Handle onboarding activities, including data entry, for new hires and rehires, while ensuring timely completion of government compliance tasks.
Handle offboarding activities, including termination checklists and/or sending exit interviews.
Maintain employee paper/electronic HR file and ensure it is updated with all required documents.
Create, provide, and distribute documents, agreements, and letters as requested.
Handle employment or work status-related tasks and requests as needed.
Perform local compliance-related tasks as requested.
Provide administrative and operational support as needed for various HR functions, including participating in special projects.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of UCT HR programs, plans, policies, processes, and HR system.
Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
Ensure compliance throughout all interactions at UCT and protect the company with consistency, adherence to regulations and laws.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Customer Service capability and excellent interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills.
Ability to work and cooperate with a team, learn and apply new material and perform various analyses and reports.
Ability to work independently.
Strong computer skills (MS Office suite, particularly Excel) with some HR systems exposure.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
Bachelor's degree or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Experience Requirement:
At least 1 – 3 years of work experience in a Human Resources support position.
