Key Responsibilities:To implement national guidelines, policies and relevant environmental protection laws and regulations, improve internal environmental protection management systems, improve environmental protection management ledgers, organize environmental information disclosure, cooperate with environmental law enforcement personnel to carry out law enforcement inspections, and be responsible for corporate emission reduction work.
Participate in major corporate environmental protection decision-making activities and maintenance of pollution prevention and control facilities, declaration and payment of environmental protection tax, etc.
Be in charge of the company's safety management department and supervise the performance of daily health and safety management functions.
Assist the general manager to establish, improve and supervise the implementation of the safety production responsibility system and safety production rules and regulations for all employees of the unit.
Assist the general manager to establish and improve the reward and punishment assessment mechanism for the unit's safety production responsibility system, and assess and supervise the implementation of the safety production responsibility system by each department and position in the unit.
Assist the general manager to establish and implement the dual prevention work mechanism of hierarchical management and control of safety risks and investigation and management of hidden dangers, and be responsible for the investigation and management of hidden safety risks in the company.
Assist the general manager to formulate and implement the unit's emergency rescue plan for production safety accidents.
Supervise the implementation of the unit's annual safety production work plan and education and training plan.
Participate in the production and operation decisions of the unit, and provide opinions and suggestions on whether the production safety laws, regulations, rules, standards and the unit's safety production rules and regulations are complied with.
Undertake other responsibilities stipulated by relevant laws, regulations, rules and the unit.
Job Qualifications:Bachelor Degree Above, more than 8 years experience with leadership or managerial role in the chemical industry. Experience in chemical process safety management and risk assessment for hazardous materials and chemicals.
Have communication skills, managing teams work experience, professional skills, and planning abilities.
Have knowledge of chemical industry, good knowledge of related laws and regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (1994) and Environmental Quality Act (1974).
Possess excellent coordination and control skills, communication skills, analysis and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English and Malay.
