As our HSE Manager in Tampoi, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and managing all aspects of our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) program.
You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective EHS systems to safeguard our employees, the environment, and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilitiesProvide expert consultation and support on EHS matters across the site.
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and management systems.
Oversee and ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EQA) and Kerry's corporate standards (RSA & Kerry Global).
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address potential risks.
Analyze EHS data, compile reports, and recommend necessary improvements.
Lead and empower the EHS team (EHS Officer, EHS Assistant Officer, EHS Committee, Emergency Response Team, Green Team, and ISO Committee).
Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the EHS program.
Employee Development:Provide training and development opportunities for the EHS team to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
Manage and deliver EHS inductions for new employees.
Develop and implement training programs to ensure all employees are aware of EHS best practices and safety procedures.Employee Communication & Engagement:Effectively communicate EHS information to management, staff, and relevant stakeholders.
Develop and implement EHS awareness programs to foster a strong safety culture.
Promote employee engagement in EHS initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.EHS Compliance:Proactively manage and ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and statutory requirements.
Manage and maintain RSA (Risk & Safety Assessment) compliance for the site.
Oversee compliance with additional requirements like SEDEX.EHS Initiatives & Projects:Develop and implement annual EHS programs and initiatives to enhance safety and environmental performance.
Encourage and motivate site staff to actively participate in EHS programs.ISO Management Systems:Manage, coordinate, and ensure the effective implementation of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) throughout the plant.Oversee the implementation of effective waste management practices that comply with legal requirements and national waste management strategies.
Develop and implement procedures for the safe disposal of contaminated and hazardous waste.
Qualifications and skillsEducation:Essential:Minimum Degree/Master's in Occupational Safety & Health or a Degree in any Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
Desirable:Solid presentation and training skills.
An excellent communicator (both oral and written) capable of conveying ideas and concepts, and making formal presentations.Technical:Essential:Possess strong organizational and technical skills, a real passion for their work, and driven to get the job done.
Desirable:Experience with compliance audits and safety management systems.
Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, be a proven team player, and have a history of working effectively in a team environment.Behavioural:Essential:Excellent motivational skills, being able to influence others at all organizational levels.
