To assume the role of secretary for HSE Committee as per statutory requirement and may chair HSE meeting in the absence and representative.- To ensure the updated requirements of the DOSH & NIOSH are implemented and proper documented.- To initiate, propagate, promote, educate, execute and implementation of HSE programs and activities in continuous checks of the work-site.- Be proactive to lead in Safety Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Environmental aspect impact assessment.- To actively monitor, audit or carry-out risk assessment of the HSE operations in work-site at all times especially hazardous, harmful and dangerous work.- To review any report by customer and / or HOD regarding HSE matters.- Compulsory participate in any HSE discussion with customer or any local authority and responsibility to report to site management.- To make any recommendation / suggestion and feedback for improving the safety & health and welfare conditions at work-site.- To provide, recommend or engage proper education and training HSE matters to staff including proper usage of PPE.- In conjunction with the site admin, get PPE PRs released and recording Inventory control on PPE.- Conduct daily safety briefing before site employees start work and documented.- To ensure zero accident or incident in the workplace as per customer's safety golden rules and full compliance of safety and health practices for all employees.- Enforce vehicle policy in terms of site safety including vehicle spot checks.- Proper waste management (scheduled and hazardous).- Housekeeping and safety compliance of company compound and job front housekeeping responsibility.- Review current and yearly job hazard analysis and take responsibility for any assigned job.- Interaction with HR department for safety violations and disciplinary actions related to safety infringements.- Work together with site supervisor to enforce safety compliance in compound or at job front.**Job Requirements**:- Diploma / Degree in Occupational Safety and Health qualification or equivalent.- Green book holder registered to Malaysia Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) as Safety & Health Officer (SHO)- Minimum 5 years working experience in Health, Safety and Environmental working experience.- Good analytical skills and strategic planning.- A good team leader that is able to motivate the team, and ensure high performance and targets are met.- Good negotiations and communications skills.- Self-motivated.
