Provide dedicated HSSE Assurance support to all Malaysia BU Activities (Operations, HSSE, Drilling and Projects).
Develop and implement fit for purpose assurance plans and monitoring practices to improve BU HSSE compliance and performance.
Drive effective implementation of ME OMS requirements within Malaysia BU through verification of compliance.
Act as HSSE Department focal point for internal and external stakeholder audit preparation activities.
Actively contribute to the further development of BU HSSE Systems and Documentation (Annual Plans KPPs, SWPs, etc.)
Act as HSSE Department focal point for Malaysian and Sarawak State HSE and Legislative Compliance issues.
Champion HSSE Initiatives within MYBU Organisation.
Occasional visits to Shore Base and Offshore.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
HSSE Assurance support for Malaysia BU
Act as the coordinator for audit and assurance activities related to Operations, HSSE, Drilling and Projects.
Act as content updater for the BUs HSSE Assurance-related documentation.
Plan, coordinate, and actively participate in assurance activities as per BU HSSE Plan and assurance schedule.
Responsible for quality control of the assurance information in the BU management system
Responsible for ongoing management of and tracking compliance with the assurance schedule.
Responsible for facilitating the timely and accurate communication of key HSSE audit findings to the relevant leads and heads of department (HoD)
Prepare HSSE Audit training materials and conduct HSSE coaching / training for onshore and offshore teams as required.
Produce monthly and quarterly assurance reports and conduct trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Act as superuser for Synergy and Oracle ATS database.
Active participation in supporting audit preparation activities for internal (MIC) and External (MPM, JV Partners) stakeholders.
Vendor and Contractor HSSE Management
Pre-award (assist in technical bid evaluations including scoring of HSEQs)
Post Award:
Assist in review of Contractors HSSE documentation to ensure it is fit for purpose.
Contractor Onboarding / Icebreaker Activities.
Development of Contractor HSE KPIs / Objectives.
Contractor HSSE Verification and Audits.
Contractor Performance reviews led by SCM and Contractor Holder.
Act as Vendor / Contract User for BU HSSE Department external consultancy services (OH-IH, Environment, etc.)
HSE General
Ability to effectively interpret and apply Malaysian and Sarawak State HSE Legislative and Regulatory requirements (DOSH, DOE, MPM, PPGUA) to ensure MYBU compliance.

ER, Crisis Management and Business Continuity
General Understanding of ER/CM/BC Process:
Crisis and ER Prioritisation (PEAR).

Team Roles and Responsibilities
Fulfil ME CRT duties (HSSE or Site Contact Role).
Active Participation in Country and Regional ER/CM/BC Exercises.
Active participation in development and review of ER/CM/BC Documentation.
Delivers training to ER, CM, and BC leaders and Team Members.
Conduct regular audits / reviews on ME CRT room and provide recommendations for improvement as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge:
Tertiary Degree from recognised University (Engineering or Science preferred).
Lead Auditor or ISO qualification an advantage.
Working knowledge of ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 requirements
Working knowledge of information management systems and databases
Working knowledge and some experience in developing HSEMS and Procedures
Track record of developing, implementing, and facilitating HSSE Assurance plans and programs
Working knowledge of Malaysian HSE Legislation, Petronas MPM Requirements, Industry Guidelines and Best Practices (DOSH, DOE, PTS, PPGUA, OGP, OPITO, etc.)
Working knowledge of Contractor HSSE Management practices and requirements
Working knowledge of ER, Crisis Management and Business Continuity Practices
Working knowledge of Industry Environmental Practices and Requirements
Working knowledge of Industry OH-IH Practices and requirements
Experience:
Minimum 5 years as an HSSE Professional; preferably within the Oil and Gas Industry working for Operators (PACs), EPCs or Drilling Contractor. Previous experience in OH-IH and / or Environmental positions as well as direct exposure to Offshore Oil and Gas Operations would be an advantage.
