The Hub Operations Manager within the Grid Automation business unit is accountable for the Hub and its Operating Units operating in strict adherence to the policies, instructions, and required standards related to Health and Safety, Sustainability, Integrity, Governance, Project Execution, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Value Chain Planning, PMO, and Project Controls.
Main Responsibilities
Set up and lead the Asia Pacific Hub operation function as per company and business unit project operations guidance, implementing the subordinate organization structure in the Hub in coordination with the Operating Units and BU operational requirements.Supervise project execution and performance management in the Hub in close partnership with the Operating Unit Managers, through regular project reviews, project portfolio reviews, and controls in line with the company and BU Instructions to ensure contract fulfillment in terms of quality, timeliness, and cost.Ensure in the Hub that the portfolio of projects, products, services, and software is managed consistently, based on best practices and company Policies.Ensure that projects are formally closed out, as contractually agreed.Ensure that all projects consistently apply contract and claims management, in accordance with company policies and contractual agreements to maximize customer satisfaction and company benefit. Hub Operation takes an active role in resolving escalated issues related to projects or general execution issues.Build and maintain relationships with key customers as well as internal and external stakeholders. Serve as an escalation point for individual and systemic issues within the region, mainly but not limited to project management.Coordinate the development and implementation of the standards, practices, procedures, and tools in the region for all functions under project operations in order to achieve operational excellence.Enable adherence to the standards and processes through regular reviews and assessments and follow-up.Collaborate with BU and division functions to ensure that operational improvement programs for execution excellence, especially in project & contract management, supply chain, and HSE for projects to be delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality and safety.Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with 10-15 years of experience in the utility and/or industrial infrastructure project business managing large and complex EPC type projects, both contractual, financial, and technical.Good experience in dealing with international customers and suppliers on complex contracts will be preferred.Profile: Customer-focused, Problem-solution oriented, Open-minded, Resolute, Team-oriented, Leadership.Negotiation skills.*Note: This role is open for applicants within APAC, and for successful candidates, the role is to be based in the home country of the successful applicant where Hitachi Energy is present.#J-18808-Ljbffr
