In-House Counsel

At NOVA8 we are building legal services – and careers – for the 21st century, and we are seeking a high-performing lawyer to join our core team.
This is a hybrid role which will support on a wide variety of internal legal, business development, marketing and administrative matters, while also having the opportunity to support our clients on a range of cross-border/regional work.

Gain a wide range of in-house experience, including via secondments to exciting clients ranging from high-growth tech startups to blue-chip MNCs and international banks. Develop deep commercial understanding by supporting startups at key stages in their journey. Work on interesting transactions, from technology funding rounds to cross-border M&A. Develop and hone your leadership and mentoring skills by working closely with more junior lawyers. Help to build a company that is working to create the future of legal talent – happier, more engaged lawyers delivering better value service to clients. You: Are qualified in Malaysia or another Commonwealth jurisdiction such as England & Wales, Australia, etc. Have at least 4 years of experience, including working at a tier 1 local or international law firm (ideally in a Corporate or TMT practice). Are thinking about new opportunities (whether you're keen to stay in private practice, move in-house, or you're not quite sure yet). Enjoy learning and challenging yourself. Are happy to invest in a team that invests in you.
