Responsibilities
Participate in scheduled meetings with the team and manufacturing department to resolve support issues related to build plans.
Plan and make the best use of all resources available, including manpower and space.
Set warehouse policies and procedures, ensuring that warehouse employees follow the policies and safety regulations.
Provide appropriate training to all warehouse personnel to ensure that team members can carry out their functions in a safe, timely, accurate, and efficient manner. Includes MRP training for data entry.
Responsible for carrying out process studies, implementing systems, and executing them for constant work improvements.
Ensure proper handling of controlled materials, e.g., materials with shelf life or requiring special storage conditions.
Ensure stock count accuracy by carrying out regular weekly/monthly cycle counts and reconciliation.
Carry out inventory stock-taking management and ensure the accuracy of inventory stocks.
Perform Annual Physical Inventory exercise and ensure acceptable levels of parts and absolute dollar value accuracy.
Ensure proper disposal of scrap materials.
Lead activities to ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs regulations, ISO, and SOX.
Perform Risk Assessment and take actions to ensure a safe working environment.
Drive continuous improvement in performance and customer/employee satisfaction.
Lead special projects and key initiatives identified from time to time.
Participate in EHS implementation and support ISO9001/14001/ISO45001/13485 activities.
Any other adhoc duties assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum Certificate in Logistics/Warehouse Management, STPM, Diploma, or Degree preferred.
At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in store/shipping in an MNC manufacturing environment.
At least 1 to 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience is expected, demonstrating the ability to manage a team effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office and experience using ERP or SAP systems.
Effective communication skills are critical for managing team dynamics and ensuring operational efficiency.
Flexibility in job rotation between inbound and outbound.
Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
Knowledge of using material handling equipment.
Skilled in managing teams of 10 to 12 people, including foreign workers.
Flexible in handling both incoming and outgoing cargo operations.
Ability to coordinate pickups efficiently and liaise with freight forwarders and production teams.
Familiar with 6S safety practices and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
