Provides technical expertise to the university.
Manages technical resources within the university environment.
Maintaining and monitoring the security of computer systems and IT infrastructure.
Running performance checks on current systems and IT infrastructure.
Creating standardized procedures and producing reports.
Creating and following schedules and budgets.
Evaluating the feasibility of technical approaches to problems.
Ensures effective support to both staff and students by assisting in resolving all IT-related issues and providing support during school events in a timely and reliable manner.
Monitor and configure network infrastructure, including Google Workspace, email, routing/switching, firewall, load balancer equipment, and computer labs.
Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all university IT assets, i.e., computers, printers, laptops, projectors, smartboards, smart panel TVs, computer systems, telephony systems, CCTV, and networks.
Perform data backup, installation, upgrading, and configuration of IT equipment, PCs, standalone printers/MPs, network, and related services.
Manage, maintain, and monitor IT inventory such as software licenses, desktops, laptops, printers, etc.
Perform regular (Windows/Chrome OS) security patches and antivirus upgrades.
Any other task assigned by management from time to time.
Skills And ExperiencesDegree in ICT or related discipline.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in systems administration, helpdesk support function, application, and network/technical support in the education industry.
Practical experience with Windows, iOS, Google Chrome OS, Microsoft 365/Office 365, and Google Workspace.
Expert in PC and server/network (routing and switching) and server virtualization.
Decision-Making Skills – the ability to solve problems and make decisions and task delegations.
Self-Management Skills – the ability to plan time effectively and to organize oneself well.
Able to execute the instructions given by the superior – to understand, verify, plan, and deploy the assignment based on the scope of work for any IT projects (ad-hoc).
Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
