We are hiring Injection Molding Engineer! Responsibilities: Design and develop new injection moulds to produce plastic components that meet product specifications.Carry out simulation studies and 3D data studies on part design and mould design to ensure part mouldability.Participate in DFM discussions and DFMEA meetings as needed to ensure that the tools quoted are feasible and any potential issues identified early on and mitigated before tooling fabrication.Collaborate/feedback with product design engineers, manufacturing, NPI and QA team to ensure manufacturability of new designs and enhance existing products.Oversee the tooling process from concept through production, including resin and tooling material selection, prototype development, testing, and final production rollout. Lead and guide junior engineer to prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, DFM studies, mould flow studies, testing protocols, and process workflow.Support Tooling, Moulding and NPI departments by trouble shooting during validation. Analyse and improve injection moulding processes with emphasis on mould longevity and consistent parts moulded using various methodologies such as Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE) or Lean Manufacturing.Conduct mould flow simulations and other DOE as needed to investigate defects and productivity issues that may be related to poor quality, defects, and increasing mould life.Review appearance & dimensional report and analyse the NG (Not Good) root cause or participate in 8D caused by tooling/ process parameter.Integration of DFx activities into the product development schedule; assuring that each product developed sets new standards in terms of quality, reliability and manufacturability. Strong technical aptitude including an excellent understanding of DFx methodologies, high volume manufacturing processes, assembly and molding, quality assurance on medical devices product development. Initiate and lead the efforts to identify and qualify second sources for material availability, cost reduction and quality purposes.
