Responsibilities/Duties: • To ensure all asset inspection requirements are executed in strict compliance with legislation, inspection standards, codes of practice and Client/duty holder procedures.
• To ensure inspection activities are planned, scheduled and coordinated efficiently with subcontractors and suppliers.
• To audit and review third party/suppliers activities and equipment.
• Ensure agreed inspection strategies, procedures, standards and plans are implemented and completed and any failures, variations, and amendments are fed back to the Integrity Team Leader.
• Input to the Risk Based Inspection database with inspection results, detailing findings, conclusions and recommendations to ensure that inspection frequencies are maximized.
• Coordinate and participate in periodic plant and equipment history reviews in order to maximize plant availability. Ensure effective application of new techniques, and use specialist NDT services to limit intrusive inspection.
• To liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality, performance & value from the delivery of third-party inspection services.
• To provide technical support and advice on technical integrity-related inspection issues to the Asset, Operations and Maintenance teams.
• To support the development of an effective inspection team to enable a clear vision of how to contribute to objectives.
• Ensure plan adherence of all inspections and provide regular reporting on adherence and backlog.
• Maintain direct and regular contact with Asset Teams in order to ensure an effective Inspection Service.
• Develop the skills and technical competence of junior Inspection Engineers.
• Ensure onsite work activities are performed in accordance with the health, safety and environmental policy, company QHSE manual and asset-specific control of work procedures and practices.
Skills / Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of in-service inspection experience.
• API 510/570/653/NACE/ASNT certifications are preferred with associated experience.
• Specific experience in Integrity Management and Risk Based Inspection.
• Thorough understanding of NDT techniques and in-service application of NDT.
• Thorough knowledge of pressure vessel and pipework design and inspection codes of practice.
• Knowledge of related standards / regulatory requirements.
• Versatile and flexible team player with good verbal and written communication skills. A good command of the English language is essential.
