Inspector Of Works (Mechanical / Electrical)

Job Description: Conduct site supervision and coordination to ensure that contractors adhere to quality standards and project specifications.Attend all site meetings and technical discussions.Ensure that materials used meet contract specifications.Assist in site valuations by verifying contractors' work for progress claims.Conduct regular checks, inspections, and quality control measures on ongoing and completed works.Identify outstanding tasks and address any issues encountered on-site, proposing mitigation solutions as necessary.Report any non-conforming matters found during inspections to the Resident Engineer (RE) and follow up with contractors on required actions.Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, including relevant forms, documents, and correspondences.Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Inspector of Works (IOW) for projects such as schools, residential buildings, commercial complexes, etc.Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Possession of the IOW certificate from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is mandatory.Project Location: Lawas, Sarawak
