The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.The Human Resources Learning & Development team is actively seeking the right teammate to support the creation and implementation of technical and non-technical training and performance support solutions that meet the needs of the business.
This position is based out of Dexcom's Malaysia offices located in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, and our mission is simple: .Where you come in:You will perform training analysis, design, and development activities to create high-quality, active, and engaging training and performance support solutions that lead to measurable learning outcomes.You will partner with cross-functional teams comprised of internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and challenges, and to align solutions.You will be responsible for the instructional integrity of Dexcom's training and performance support solutions in both the technical, job performance space as well as the leadership and professional development space.You will be responsible for executing strategy in alignment with Dexcom's core values and defined HR L&D processes.What makes you successful: You have 2—5 years within the training, performance improvement, or related space.You demonstrate extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and application, including, but not limited to:Adult learning theoryNeeds assessment approaches and techniquesPerformance analysis methods and techniquesMethods and techniques for developing learning and behavioral outcomesInstructional design models and processes (e.g., ADDIE)Criteria used to assess the quality and relevance of instructional content in relation to the desired learning or behavioral outcomesSelection of delivery options and media for training and learning events to achieve the desired learning or behavioral outcomesDesigning and developing both knowledge-based and performance-based assessments to the desired learning or behavioral outcomesYou have strong experience in:Analyzing, designing, and developing, technical, skills-based training, as well as non-technical leadership and professional development trainingDesigning, developing, and delivering training and performance support solutions using different instructional modalities and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate) across multiple platformsSelecting and employing the most effective delivery format and media to achieve optimal learning or behavioral outcomesUsing a learning management system to perform tasks such as running reports, monitoring training completion, reviewing training assignments, and reporting training data to inform leadership and drive decision makingLeveraging AI to perform tasks that assist in short-term gains and increase instructional design productivityHelping individuals or teams identify goals, develop realistic action plans, seek development opportunities, and monitor progress and accountabilityProviding input into project plans and schedules that integrate resources, tasks, and timelinessEstablishing, monitoring, and communicating progress toward the achievement of goals, objectives, and milestonesEvaluating and prioritizing implications, risks, feasibility, and consequences of potential activitiesCreating a positive learning environmentUnderstanding how training, development, and performance improvement contributes to an organization's competitive advantageYou demonstrate:Effective communication skills such as active listening, expressing ideas clearly and concisely, providing timely, constructive feedback, and adapting communication style as needed for intended audienceComfort with presenting issues and challenges, along with proposed solutions, to leadership quicklyThe ability to flex and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentA willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our global business audienceA high level of emotional intelligenceApproachability and trustworthinessStrong conflict mitigation skillsA willingness to collaborate and share knowledge both departmentally and cross-functionallyProven success working with remote teamsSuccess in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsThe ability to function well in situations with high levels of ambiguitySkill in adjusting work processes and outputs in response to or anticipation of changes in goals, standards, resources, and/or timeThe ability to establish and perpetuate an environment that fosters mutual respect and trustThe ability to adjust one's own behavior in response to or anticipation of changes in others' behavior, attitudes, and/or thoughtsA willingness to do the right thingPreferred qualifications include:Manufacturing experience, automation environment an advantageMedical device industry experience, supporting audits an advantageDegrees in training, learning and development, or human performance improvementInstructional design, training, or facilitation certificate or credentialsProject management experience an advantageExperience with start-up/scale-up organizations
