The Instrumentation and Process Control Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting plant electrical control and instrument systems ensuring the reliability of all process controllers and instruments and software application critical to plant operations. Duties & Responsibilities: Maintenance of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems Ensures maintenance of plant automation and electronic systems and various process controllers, analyzing faults and system malfunction and ensures that these are addressed accordingly. Implements the calibration of all plant electronic measuring instruments, weighers, data acquisition equipment and data loggers ensuring that these conform with ISO standards. Monitors system configuration, PLC and process controllers ensuring that configuration and programming are accurate. Forecasts machine breakdown and repair; and ensures that potential problems are detected and addressed immediately. Prepares Purchase Requisition of critical electronic parts ensuring that the necessary parts are available according to preventive maintenance schedule and repair forecast. Performs troubleshooting of plant automation systems and process controllers and ensures that problems detected do not recur. Attends emergency calls when needed. Other Task Establishes, maintains, recommends and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas supervised to ensure compliance to food safety standards set by GMP, HACCP & Halal. Performs other related works as maybe assigned by the immediate superior. Food Safety: Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities Other Duties & Responsibilities: Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Team LeaderTechnical Competencies: Data Analysis Electrical Safety Project Management Programmable Logic Controller/Automation Calibration Management Can conduct Ladder programming on PLC Education: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical / Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent ( Automation Engineering ) Experience: Preferably with at least three (3) years work experience in related field Licenses: Preferably Licensed Engineer Other Requirements: Knowledge in hardware troubleshooting on various electronics instruments Operational knowledge on application software Technical background in Electro-pneumatics systems Knowledge in industrial symbols schematics and plant-wide electrical setup Operation knowledge on instruments and control system of major plant machines and/or equipment Familiarity with ladder diagram and STEP 7 and SCADA programming and troubleshooting Cost-efficient troubleshooting of Local Are Networking and computer repair Knowledge of telephone and PABX wiring and programming Background knowledge on database system, windows-based application troubles and administration Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling skills. Ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships. Effective supervisory skills. Ability to communicate clearly in English and in the vernacular. Knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering
