WE EXPECTED YOU CAN DELIVER: A Junior Designer is responsible for producing high-quality project design deliverables in both FF&E and construction documents.
A Junior Designer can contribute to all phases of development, including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. They modify and revise existing designs to meet client needs or enhance design quality. Additionally, they research and stay up-to-date on design trends and best practices to ensure our designs remain innovative and effective.
They report to the Design Project Manager or Senior Designer on tasks and deliverables and work directly with them to ensure the facilitation of a project's completion—on time, on/under budget, and meeting the company's quality standards.
Schematic Design 3D Artist Impression Drawings / Mood Boards / Design Planning Knows 3D Max & Vray standards and applies them. Strong design concepts; provide professional ideas from design perspectives. Responsible for proposing and conceptualizing the interior architecture design work for retail, food & beverage, commercial, hospitality, and residential projects. Able to set up new design mood boards. Able to plan the new space planning, detail development, render development & FF&E guideline, and review. Design Development CAD Documentation Requirements Knows CAD standards and applies them. Block up elevations from drawings with accuracy. Thorough and accurate at redline pick-ups. Clouds and notes revisions on drawing/spec modifications. Able to draw and tag finished plans and elevations that meet the firm's standards. Able to produce basic sections and details of millwork and furniture. FF&E Specification Requirements Scan/Save images and format for specification. Format actual specs on sheets. Format a completed spec book including index sheets and contacts Interpret what is needed for the 'look' and select appropriate FF&E items. Draw simple custom furniture drawings and details. Know how to produce drapery and bedding drawings, custom upholstered furniture, case goods, lighting, and custom furniture. Produce all drawings for fabrication in CAD. Colors & Materials Know how to produce color & materials boards. Knows to source for products (uses, pricing, appropriateness) Selects appropriate FF&E products for review that capture the look and attitude as well as durability and pricing. Shows good eye for color and materials. Looks for fresh ideas rather than pieces that 'work'. Requirement Possess a minimum of Diploma Minimum of at least a year (1 year) of related experience in a relevant field. Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D Max, Photoshop, and other related software. Process excellent design flair and highly creative with a good eye for design details. Able to work under pressure and with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines. Positive attitude, result-orientation, a good team player, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
