We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Intern Bamboo Program Coordinator to support both our Bamboo Social Forestry Manager and Bamboo Plantation Manager. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainable forestry and ecological restoration, while developing skills in project coordination, documentation, and proposal management. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in environmental sustainability and be eager to learn and contribute to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
• Administrative Support:
o Assist both managers with daily administrative tasks.
o Help manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
o Support the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
• Documentation & Reporting:
o Assist in maintaining accurate records of bamboo program activities.
o Help prepare and organize reports on project progress and outcomes.
o Ensure that all documentation meets the requirements for regulatory and funding bodies.
• Proposal Management:
o Support the preparation and submission of grant proposals and funding applications.
o Assist in gathering necessary information and documentation for proposals.
o Help track proposal deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
• Communication:
o Assist in communication with internal teams and external partners to facilitate program activities.
o Help with the communication of program achievements and updates to stakeholders.
• Data Management:
o Help organize and manage data related to bamboo social forestry and plantation activities.
o Ensure data is accurate and accessible to team members.
• General Support:
o Provide general assistance to both managers as needed to ensure the success of SEAD's bamboo programs.
o Participate in field visits and assist with on-site coordination when necessary.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in proposal writing and grant management.
• Passion for environmental sustainability and interest in bamboo-based economies.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
