Job Title:Industrial Intern - Malaysia
Department:Industrial Engineering
Position Overview:
The incumbent will be exposed to industrial development and medical device environment.
He/she will provide support to area/field being assigned and complete tasks assigned by Supervisors/Engineers/Coaches within or cross division.
Responsibilities:
Review documents from our CM supplier and convert them to local (Insulet Malaysia) SOP format.
Check documents to ensure they meet local process flow.
Some knowledge in Manufacturing Operation and understanding of Omnipod process.
Provide daily updates to supervisor/coach.
Perform other duties or assignments as requested by immediate supervisor/coach.
Learn and explore communication methodology through task assignments.
Learn Lean 6 Sigma and apply lean tools in manufacturing environment, possibly covering OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), VSM (Value Stream Mapping), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
Be independent and self-motivated.
Monitor data collection systems and trend data.
Analyze large amounts of data to present clear, actionable information to the team.
Analyze and improve current business processes to enhance business efficiency.
Interact with cross-functional teams to lead long-term process improvement and implementation projects.
Uphold and comply with the Insulet Code of Conduct, Quality, and HSE policy.
Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and employee guidelines.
Maintain a cGMP compliant environment and operate within FDA guidelines.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Enrolled as BS or MS candidate in engineering course, preferably final year in engineering course or similar field.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analytics tools.
Only for Malaysian students.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Data Analysis: Minitab, JMP, Excel.
CAD: SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
