Lead, manage, and control LBL Freight customer service performance to exceed customer expectations.
Develop overseas and domestic network business partners to achieve sustainable growth of LBL freight services as per budget.Key Responsibilities:Manage and control the Freight customer service team to provide quality customer services for freight forwarding services that exceed customer requirements.Competitive Freight Rate and Sourcing:Develop and provide fast and competitive sea/air freight services including rates to LBL customers in fulfilling their utmost satisfaction.Establish effective engagement with major liners, NVOCC, and overseas network agencies for international services.Experience with leadership, coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to freight team members to enhance overall performance.
Work and drive freight teams under pressure and sustain demanding work environments with a positive mindset.
High urgency for meeting task deadlines.Revenue and GP Performance:Exceed freight department yearly revenue and gross profit budget via strong customer relationships.Accountable for on-time closing of freight job invoices and costing to ensure the profitability and sustainability of the business.Requirements:Education and Experience:Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Transportation/CILT/Business Admin/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of customer service and ocean pricing service experience in freight forwarding.
Receive high acknowledgment and compliments from customers and employers on job commitments.Communication & Freight Business Winning Skills:Strong communication in Mandarin (preferably but not compulsory), English, and Bahasa Malaysia.Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow, and close business opportunities ensuring the needed support from product and operations.Professional Skills:Extensive experience liaising closely with port authorities and customs - preferably have good experience in all major ports in Malaysia: Port Klang, PTP (Tanjung Pelepas) Johor, and Pasir Gudang port.A strong customer focus and a strong team ethic.Tech-Savvy:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Logistics ERP systems.
