Our continued success depends on it!Job Title: International Trade AnalystDepartment: Global Manufacturing and Supply ChainPosition Overview:The International Trade analyst will assist the Trade Compliance Manager with oversight of our Malaysia Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) operations and reporting activities to ensure compliance with regulations enforced by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department and other agencies.Activities may include; issuing import clearance instructions to brokers, inventory transaction analysis and reporting, related financial and operational analysis, data collection and reporting, and other LMW related compliance and international logistics oversight activities.The International Trade analyst will work closely with Finance and Accounting, Production, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, carriers, and external service providers to support our LMW reporting obligations.The role will be reporting to the Trade Compliance and Logistics Manager.**Responsibilities**:- Ensuring all Malaysia customs obligations related to the operation of a Malaysia Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) are fully met.- Preparation and review of data needed to satisfy Royal Malaysian Customs Department LMW reporting requirements.- Utilization of system reports (SAP) to monitor inventory transactions and perform analysis as needed for LMW reporting requirements.- Interaction with import brokerage partners to determine clearance status of imports and issuance of clearance instructions.- Support operations import and export shipping requests by ensuring all related compliance declarations, licensing, and permitting requirements are met.- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis for internal stakeholders as required to meet operational needs.- Prepare, and maintain monthly service KPIs. Develop additional KPIs and reporting where required.- Drive productivity through efficient and effective import and export initiatives within Malaysia- Work cooperatively with the Trade Compliance Manager to provide import / export compliance training to company employees and audit to Custom Brokers as needed.Minimum Qualifications:- 5-8 years' experience in both domestic (Malaysia) Trade Compliance and international shipping- Bachelor's Degree, (Advanced degree and/or certification a strong plus)- Experience interacting with and / or managing import brokers, transportation service providers, and billing.- Prior LMW Trade Compliance experience strongly preferred.- Knowledge of SAP / GTS preferred.- Prior medical device / pharmaceutical import experience a plusSkills/Competencies:- Knowledge of LMW reporting obligations and Trade Compliance oversight activities- Understanding of domestic and international shipping documents and data content requirements (BOL, Commercial Invoice, etc.)- Familiarity with international shipment terms and an understanding of how they define shipping responsibilities.- Must be comfortable communicating both internally and with third parties (carriers, sterilizers, forwarders, and import brokers)- Professional communication skills needed to build and maintain relationships with brokers and international transportation service providers.- Ability to function and make decisions within a fast-paced environment.- High level of attention to detail- Exceptionally well organized- Ability to function without constant supervision.- Comfortable with cross functional collaborationNOTE: This position requires on-site working (requires on-site office/plant/lab work). #LI-Onsite
