Internship - Freight

\n Roles & ResponsibilitiesDaily Operation – Documentation Handling: ? Assist FC Liaise with logistics service providers and customers to ensure on time deliveries. ? Manage shipping documentation for accuracy and the timely release of invoices from the customer. ? Maintain monitoring dashboard for all shipments processed to keep good tracking in the volume of activities. ? Help control on billing matters with logistics service providers to reduce the delay of payment processing to logistics service providers. Vendor Management: ? Assist and Manage and monitor performance of logistics service providers to ensure on time delivery of shipments. ? Participate in vendor performance review to ensure vendor adherence to committed lead time. ? Support insurance claim which arises from logistics service providers or internal trucking to ensure maximum recovery on losses. ? Work jointly with logistics service providers as well as Management Team on transport plan deployment to minimize transition difficulties during implementation. Customer Management: ? Liaise with internal and external customers on transportation matters to ensure smooth operations. ? Improve service level by identifying optimization of processes and procedures.Freight Invoice Management:? Receive weekly/monthly manual invoices from logistics service providers.? Manual freight audit.?Submit payment approval.
