Job DescriptionData Collection & Analysis:Collect and analyze data on SMT machine performance, including downtime, cycle time, and overall utilization rates.Prepare reports on machine performance trends using relevant software and tools.Process Improvement:Collaborate with SMT engineers to identify areas for improvement in machine efficiency and throughput.Suggest solutions to minimize downtime, improve setup times, and optimize production scheduling.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean and Six Sigma projects.Root Cause Analysis:Assist in performing root cause analysis of frequent machine stoppages or performance issues.Support corrective action implementation and preventive measures.Machine Monitoring:Work with the maintenance and production teams to monitor machine performance in real-time.Contribute to the development of dashboards or tools for machine monitoring.Documentation & Reporting:Document findings, recommendations, and improvements in detailed technical reports.Present data-driven solutions to the engineering and management teams for further action.Support Equipment Calibration and Maintenance:Assist with the scheduling and coordination of preventive maintenance and calibration in ensuring proper calibration records are maintained and SMT machines are in optimal working condition.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar).Basic knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and manufacturing processes is a plus.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Additional InformationLocal student needing to complete internship as part of their tertiary educationNov / Dec 2024 onward
