This position is under one of our subsidiary companies; ASL Edu Sdn Bhd known as Tadika Khalifah Budiman (TKB), which uses The Little Caliphs Program (TLCP). TLCP is the biggest Islamic Preschool Network in Malaysia. Currently, we have 15 branches of TKB with the TLCP program.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF ISLAMIC KINDERGARTEN PRINCIPALThe principal executes policies, manages staff, meets parents, reports to the area manager/operation manager, and oversees daily operations. The position is the lead administrator of the school and handles problems with staff, students, and parents. The position is also responsible for facilitating learning and teaching in TLCP and TKB approach.
REQUIREMENTSMinimum 3-4 years of experience in teaching at a private school; early child education, preschool, or primary school AND 3-4 years of related management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (compulsory).
Any bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in early child education or professional certificate from a recognized body.
Applied Muslimah way of life.
Mature and have passion and love for children, as well as the ability to communicate with parents effectively.
Must possess own transport.
Very good in English.
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
Position available in all our branches (Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, Klang, Perak).
Full-time positions. Can start immediately will be an advantage.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThorough knowledge of the practices, methods, and techniques used in the administration and supervision of all programs in a school.
Able to motivate others to reach their fullest potential.
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, parents, students, teachers, support staff, and support departments.
Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes, particularly barriers to learning.
Ability to plan projects in advance with proper budgeting and planning.
Good in English spoken and written communications.
JOB SCOPEMaintaining an effective educational TLCP and TKB program consistent with guidelines, SOP, policies, and goals of the management.
Maintaining records and files; preparing reports and summaries.
Meeting and conferring with parents and staff to maintain good relationships.
Ensuring that staff comply at all times with preschool policies, procedures, and standards, including health and safety, hygiene, inclusion, and confidentiality.
Inducting, supervising, and contributing to the performance management of staff according to policies and procedures and facilitating staff development.
Transforming the school culture into a results-oriented collaborative learning community.
Producing schedules of classes, extracurricular activities, and special projects; helping schedule courses, students, and teachers.
Assisting the Academic Consultant in the implementation of the curriculum and Continuous Improvement.
Assisting the Academic Consultant and teachers in evaluating methods, lesson plans, materials, and developing effective learning plans and classroom management techniques.
Requisitioning supplies, textbooks, and equipment, conducting inventories, maintaining records, and checking on receipts for such materials.
Coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other school support services; helping conduct safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.
Planning, leading, and coordinating the maintenance of the school and upkeep of resources in the setting and standard.
Managing the budget – preparing, administering, and overseeing the budget.
Reporting and monitoring student attendance, fees, and discipline.
Actively promoting the preschool to ensure that vacant places are filled and that services are marketed and advertised so that the preschool runs to full capacity.
Backing up classes when necessary and maintaining the level and standard of teaching.
Working with other departments in compiling proposals, forms, and budget requests.
Providing all special needs of students on a regular basis, seeking assistance and solutions.
Maintaining and modeling high standards of professionalism.
Leading projects and performing related work as required.
