Assistant Information Technology Managers oversee the efficiency of an organisation's IT infrastructure and systems. This role involves a variety of responsibilities such as supporting IT projects, managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring the security of data and network access, and analysing the needs of a company to determine technology requirements. The position often serves as an intermediary between the technical team and staff members, ensuring clear communication of issues and solutions. Tasks and duties
-Assisting in the development and implementation of IT policies and best practice guides for an organisation.
-Planning system upgrades and software installations while prioritising work to minimise service disruption. Work with Department Heads to manage the transition from old system to the new system, including training of users.
-Managing IT staff, conducting performance appraisals, and facilitating individual development plans.
-Monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving technical issues which may include system failures, security breaches or data loss.
-Implementing disaster recovery plans, devising preventative measures, and maintaining data backups to ensure smooth functioning of IT operations.
-Keeping abreast of new technology trends, evaluating their utility for an organisation, and training staff to use new software and hardware.
-Carrying out regular audits of hardware and software, and implementing software patches or hardware upgrades as necessary.
-Facilitating mandatory IT software changes that relates to Government or Industry requirements to ensure smooth implementation. This includes studying the Company's current system, the requirements to comply the mandatory requirements; and proposing the best IT solution for the company and the department concerned. This includes, liaising with the Government body concerned, implementation of the most viable telecommunication connection and training of all users concerned.

; Requirements:- -Bachelor or above degree in computer science, IT or related field
-Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office, SAP ECC6
-Proven experience as an IT manager or in a similar role for at least 2 years
-Must have strong knowledge in SAP
