Our mission is to make life great for our customers because we understand what matters most to them, and we know how to help them protect it.If you are looking to grow in an exciting career filled with opportunities and potential, we are seeking a professional to join our team as Assistant Manager/ Manager, IT Audit.The Role:Understand the Internal Audit methodology prescribed in the Group Internal Audit manualPlan and execute audit field work by developing and completing planning documents such as Audit Planning Checklist and Memorandum (APCM), Resource Allocation Plan (RAP) and Risk Control Matrix (RCM) within the planned scope and time framePerform reviews of general IT controls and IT areasPlan the specific audits by:Identifying objectives, risks and controls;Identifying process design gaps, improvement opportunities and any instances of over-control during walkthrough of business units' processes;Assigning and supervising team members' work and monitor their progress;Reviewing team members' working papers, audit findings and documentation in audit system;Performing audit tests to identify operating effectiveness issues;Identifying and understanding the root cause of problems or issues and providing recommendations for improvement;Responsible in drafting audit observations and audit report to specified standards with minimal editorial changes, which provides clear and sufficient evidence to support recommendations and audit opinion;Providing an opinion on the overall effectiveness of risk management and control of the audited area(s);Performing follow-up on the implementation of agreed action plans; andCollaborating with the team through idea generation and support other team members, and reviewer with a positive attitude.Communicate resource needs to Reviewer or CIA on a timely basis; utilise resources to best effect with guidance from Reviewer or CIADevelop extensive informal networks and maintain good working relationships with staff members at all levels of the organisationUse data analytics software and audit management system effectivelySpot potential conflict, bring disagreements into the open and help to de-escalateCoach and be a source of advice for junior team membersTake accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risksMaintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the companyHighlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practicesOther responsibilities entailedThe Person:Possess a Degree in Information Technology, Accountancy or any related fieldHas minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in External Audit or Internal Audit in Insurance or Banking industryExcellent written communication skills for audit work papers and report writingGood supervisory and organizational skillsHigh level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamworkTakes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changesGreat Eastern Malaysia is committed to Equal Employment Opportunity, and all qualified applicants shall receive a fair and equal consideration for employment.Location: HQ, Kuala LumpurEntity: Great Eastern Life MalaysiaEmployment Type: PermanentTo all recruitment agencies: Great Eastern does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
