Job Description:
Business Development in Greater China region (mainly HK, China)
Selling consulting engagements as well as helping to sell larger end to end deals and transformation programs to BFS clients
Developing group's value propositions, solution concept/ design, front-ending the discussions with clients, closing deals
Building and managing client relationships as a consulting partner, trusted advisor
Leading consulting / BA deliverables and managing projects for banking clients
Providing SME inputs for white papers, go-to-market initiatives, and projects
Building a team of risk and regulatory consultants in HK, China with the right mix of skills
The KRAs will be a mix of the above – highest priority to business development (financial target agreed mutually with regional head of the consulting group), plus a target for billing personal time on projects, while team building is important and operational metrics are also tracked
Job Requirements:
10-15 years of experience with specialization in risk and regulatory and at least a few years of core consulting experience (business / technology / process consulting)
A graduate degree in any Science or Engineering or Commerce or Economics stream; a Postgraduate qualification (Master's or CFA) in Finance or Business Administration is desirable
Risk and regulatory – Any banking domain is fine (SME in (one of the following): Risk and Regulatory Compliance / Private Banking / AML / Transaction Banking (Trade, Payments) but exposure to consumer banking and business banking is preferred.
Conversant with the latest trends in banking and risk and regulatory technology
Prior experience in a management consulting firm, conversant with consulting methodologies and frameworks
Prior experience in consulting selling, building value propositions, writing client proposals
Prior experience in managing teams of business analysts, consultants
Strong communication, presentation skills; Leadership skills
Structured thinking, approach and communication, analytical skills
