IT Executive (Sri Inai International School)We are looking for a high Calibre IT Executive to join Beaconhouse International School in Petaling Jaya.
This position is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and maintaining Sri Inai's IT daily operations. The objective is to perform a variety of duties associated with project execution, repair, and maintenance as assigned by the Head of IT within the limitations of Company Policies and School processes and guidelines.
Desired Qualification/ Experience/ Knowledge:
Degree in ICT or related discipline
At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in systems administration, helpdesk support function, or network/technical support in the international education industry.
Knowledgeable in BYOD policies and IT Service Management.
Practical experience with Microsoft 365/Office 365 & Google Suite
Knowledgeable in PC and server/network (routing and switching)/server virtualisation.
Decision-Making Skills – the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Self-management skills – the ability to plan time effectively and to organise oneself well.
Able to execute the instructions given by the superior: To understand, verify, plan and deploy the assignment based on the scope of work - for any IT projects (ad-hoc)
Areas of Responsibility
Ensures effective support to both staff and students by assisting in resolving all IT related issues and to provide support during school events in a timely and reliable manner.
Monitor, configure and maintain UCM system and network infrastructure, include G-suite, email, routing/switching, firewall, load balancer equipment and computer labs (including the server).
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
Provide technical support, trouble-shooting and maintenance of all Beaconhouse IT assets i.e., computers, printers, laptops, projectors, smartboard, smart panel tv, computer system, telephony system – Grandstream, CCTV and networks.
Perform data backup; installation, upgrading and configuration of IT equipment, PCs, standalone printers, network and related services.
Manage, maintain and monitor IT inventory such as software licenses, desktop, laptop, printer etc.
Perform regular (Microsoft OS/Chrome OS) security patches, antivirus upgrade.
Part of project team members for the BYOD, Chromebooks, Hybrid Classroom setup and maintenance.
To provide technical assistance for any ad-hoc projects assigned.
To provide hardware/software and IT solutions recommendation.
Managing and monitoring all installed network appliances, systems, and related infrastructure (cloud and on premise).
Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network-related operating systems, applications / software / management tools.
Ensuring the highest levels of network connectivity and infrastructure availability.
Provide expertise for the overall network systems infrastructure and its support as it relates to all IT technologies.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
Monitoring network usage and health status in compliance with security policies.
Perform preventive maintenance.
Identifying IT security vulnerabilities in the organisation's network.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to secure organisation's IT infrastructure and networking.
Keeping up to date with IT security standards and threats development.
Creating system guidelines and manuals for the organisation.
Assist in IT audit or certification process.
Responsible for local organisation data security and personnel security internal control, drive employee awareness training and compliance standards for the company.
Coordinate and/or perform penetration testing and patching
Participate in other projects/tasks as assigned.
Administer, maintain, support and ensure all network (Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN)) and all systems available with minimal downtime to meet the Company's operational hours.
Recommend and implement necessary network and system improvements to meet end-user requirements and future demands.
Administer, maintain and support all systems within the Company
Ensure the timely maintenance of all systems by applying system upgrades, security patches and service packs.
Ensure all systems are being backed up on a daily, monthly and yearly basis according to the backup policy and be made available for restoration.
Any other task assigned by management from time to time.
