A day in the life of...
Provides deep specialist consultancy, guidance and support in their specific specialism (e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, etc. based on subject expertise).
Makes recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of (emerging) technology and technical methods and methodologies.
Works closely with the ITP FRM to propose, define, and monitor implementation of the IT Platform team's plans and objectives, in line with the departmental strategy.
Ensures IT requirements are met and service quality is maintained when introducing new products, considering the cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions.
Recognizes opportunities for business change and communicates them persuasively to appropriate stakeholders.
Assists others in resolving complex technical problems and investigates the root cause of problems, recommending smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely) solutions.
Liaises closely with suppliers, especially where third-party work or packages involve significant functional, technical, process, data, or integration decisions.
Maintains positive IT Platform service delivery trends, corrects as needed, and proposes refined metrics to establish continuous improvement (Security & Compliance target for Network and Server).
Reviews, creates, and maintains IT Platform related system configuration and maintenance procedures documentation.
What will make you successful:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience in IS/IT organizations or working with them and in at least one relevant specific technology.
Proven track record of structured problem-solving experience, based on data analysis.
Recognized expert in at least one relevant specific technology.
Experience of successfully leading technical evaluations.
Experience of resolving technical issues, including those involving third parties.
Certification or significant experience in other corresponding technical fields.
Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English.
