Job Description / Responsibilities
Project Strategy and Business Case: Define the overall project business requirement and propose the approach or methodology to use to address it.Preparation: Complete a high-level Work Breakdown Structure, determine the project's high-level plan at the milestone level, identify and recruit project members, produce the Project Initiation Document, select third parties to use in the early project phases and finally, put actions in place to secure key resources. Design: Create the project's deliverables, using the project strategy, business case, and project initiation document. Work with relevant stakeholders to develop the designs of the main deliverables. Development and Testing: Complete the planning and designing stage to allow project team to start to develop and build the components of the project output. Ensure testing of these components is done thoroughly and attend to all issues that are blocking the progress. Training and Business Readiness: Prepare for the project launch or ""go live". Train users. Put in place ongoing support. Transfer data to new systems. Identify what is required for the project to be effective from the launch date, and adequately address this." Support and Benefits Realization: Provide transitional support to the business after the project is launched and consider what is required before team members are reassigned. Monitor the delivery of project benefits. Project Closure: complete and store documentation, carry out a Post-Implementation Review, reassign project team members to appropriate roles in the organization. Minimum of 8-20- years project management experience covering full project life cycleProject management experience of complex system implementation projects in banking institutions with strong technical skills and a solid understanding of software development. Business and commercial acumen, with minimum 5 years as an Analyst prior to this, covering the full project life cycle and having excellent stakeholder management skill.Analytical skills are necessary in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project. Mathematical and budgeting skills. Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. Strong communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills; team player and an effective leader who is able to motivate his/her project team.
