The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and supporting security tools and network devices, planning and managing security projects, providing SOC support, server administration, antivirus support, acting as level 1 on-call support, supporting multiple operating systems and documenting security procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and Support Security Tools and Network Devices:Ensure the integrity and security of the organization's IT infrastructure by configuring and supporting security tools and network devices.
Plan and Execute Security Projects:Plan, execute, and manage security projects, including but not limited to vulnerability assessments and implementation of security solutions.
Provide SOC Support:Provide support for Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including monitoring, incident response, and escalation procedures.
Administer Servers:Administer servers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
Manage Antivirus Systems:Manage antivirus systems and endpoint protection, ensuring timely updates, monitoring, and response to antivirus alerts.
Patches and Updates:Perform patches, updates, and upgrades on servers and network devices to ensure system stability and security compliance.
Level 1 On-Call Support:Act as level 1 on-call support, responding to security incidents, alerts, and inquiries outside of regular business hours.
Multiple Operating System Support:Support multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Document Security Procedures:Document security procedures, guidelines, and best practices for systems administration, security operations, and incident response.
Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures across the organization and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:Proven experience 3 years in configuring and supporting security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM) and network devices (e.g., routers, switches).
SOC Experience:Experience in supporting SOC operations, including incident detection, analysis, and response.
Server Administration:Experience with server administration, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
Antivirus Management:Proficiency in managing antivirus systems and endpoint protection solutions.
Level 1 On-Call Support:Ability to act as level 1 on-call support, demonstrating responsiveness and effective incident management during off-hours.
Security Project Management:Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute security projects from conception to completion.
Operating System Support:Hands-on experience supporting multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Documentation Skills:Strong documentation skills with the ability to draft clear and concise security procedures and reports.
Certifications:Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are a plus.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
