Position Title: IT Support Executive
Snapshot of the role:
We are looking for a driven and diligentIT Support Executivewho will be responsible for providing on-site 1st level IT Infrastructure and Applications/Systems support to end users. Your role entails promptly and professionally responding to and resolving users' requests and issues.
Provide on-site arms-and-legs support to Group IT service lines based on the tasks assigned by Superior.
Accountable for on-site 1st level IT Infrastructure and Applications / Systems support to end users to ensure the requests and issues are responded and addressed in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
Accountable for site end-user onboarding and offboarding IT devices.
Responsible for 1st level Service Continuity of the operations e.g. computer installation, configuration, upgrade, printers, video conferences, network troubleshooting, Antivirus and Security Incident Response, site outages etc.
Perform troubleshooting for end user computing needs and handle end user requests and incident tickets until closure.
Provide timely updates on the status of the tickets raised (within defined SLA) to relevant parties and close the IT tickets upon completion.
Responsible to maintain IT infrastructure and enterprise IT assets.
Manage desktop lifecycle programs and perform basic administrative support, asset management and routine IT housekeeping services.
Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems and provide regular reporting to relevant parties.
What you'll need to succeed:
Candidate must possess at least a Degree / Diploma / Professional Certificate / NiTEC or equivalent work experience on technical field majoring in IT or computer related. ITIL Certification and has experience using IT Service Desk, IT Helpdesk or IT Service Management.
At least2 yearsexperiences on desktop operation or Information Technology related position. Experience working in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
Understanding of TCP/IP, IGMP, switching and Routing (Layer 2 & 3 communication), internet protocols including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VLAN etc.
Exposure and working experience with 802.11a/b/g/i standards and knowledge of 802.11n.
Knowledge on deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging and administering Wireless LAN products and technologies.
Hands-on experience: Sophos/Fortigate/Sonicwall Firewall & controller, L2/L3 switches, AP & controllers.
Good customer service mindset and can interact effectively with all levels of customers.
Results, actions & quality oriented. Organised and capable of meeting deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable attitude. Able to work under heavy pressure.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team. Willing to learn, resourceful, good working attitude and takes initiative.
Willing to be based atBukit Jelutong, Shah Alam .
