At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. What will you be doing? The finance transactional role within Smith & Nephew Global Business Services (GBS) entails overseeing the efficient execution of finance transactional processes and controls in alignment with S&N Finance standards, the Group Finance Manual, Minimum Acceptable Practices (MAPs), and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. The role emphasizes responsibility, collaboration, and dedication to encouraging a positive work environment in line with the company's core values of Performance, Innovation, and Trust. What will you need to be successful?The role involves delivering a professional and consistent service to customers, particularly in resolving Local Country inquiries for the PTP function, while collaborating with internal stakeholders. Additionally, it supports the Team Lead and team members in enhancing team effectiveness and assisting new joiners.Responsibilities include handling invoice and T&E transaction processing within guidelines, performing AP closing activities accurately, and generating monthly reports and KPI metrics. Compliance with key controls and updating SOPs in a timely manner are emphasized, along with logging issues on CAPA and supporting system/process development. Ad hoc activities or projects are also supported under the guidance of the Senior Associate or Team Lead.
